The new version of Payroll21 (version 6.0) has an RDBMS back-end. The open source RDBMS package Firebird is used for data storage in Payroll21. With a full fledged RDBMS package like Firebird at the back-end, the reliability of the application will increase. Also there won't be any limitation in using Payroll21 by very large companies (say with more than ten thousand employees). All the existing functionalities of Payroll21 are retained in the new release.
