Manufacturing
Inventory
The Manufacturing
Inventory functions are available in Account21 models
ACCO04-S and ACC04-N. Though the manufacturing functions
of Account21 may not be comparable with that is available
in big ERP packages, they are quite powerful and can be
effectively used by small manufacturing units.
The important features/functions of Account21 Manufacturing
Inventory are explained below:
1.
|
Item
Database: - The item database in Account21
is quite exhaustive. User can define whether the
particular item is a BOM item or not. Any level
of nesting of BOM items is allowed. User can define
two alternate units (apart from the base unit)
for each item. User can also specify whether the
item is a long lead one and whether it is imported.
All the standard features like minimum stock,
reorder level etc can be specified.
|
| 2. |
Product
Cost: - Account21 can calculate the cost of
a finished product from its Bill Of Material.
The standard cost of individual items is used
for calculating the cost of the product presently.
User can add the labor/assembly cost of a product
as part of the BOM definition.
|
| 3. |
Requirement
Analysis: - Based on the sales orders booked
for the finished products, Account21 can calculate
and display the components/items to be purchased.
The calculation takes care of the purchase orders
already placed, the quantity available in stock
and the minimum stock to be kept while doing the
requirement calculation. The report will indicate
the imported and long-lead items separately.
|
| 4. |
Planning
of Raw Material: - This function is similar
to the above, except that the requirement is calculated
based on the input given by the user on the product(s)
to be manufactured; doesn't depend on the sales
orders in hand.
|
| 5. |
Work
In Progress report: - This gives a summary
of items issued to production and its value.
